Poland Transfer prices/CIT: OECD – After Restructuring Know-How

In July of the previous year, after years of intensive work and multilateral consultations, in particular with business milieus, the OECD published an update of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and Tax Administrations.

 

Major changes were introduced in the first three chapters of the OECD Guidelines pertaining to the market price principle, transaction comparability analysis and application of the transaction profit method. Additionally, a new Chapter IX was introduced, which regulates some aspects of enterprise restructuring from the point of view of transfer pricing and contains among others recommendations as to transfer

EC concerned over proposed Dutch migrant crackdown

Proposed regulation aimed at stopping a wave of economic migrants to the Netherlands will be discussed today by the head of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barosso and Dutch authorities. Talks in The Hague are to concern immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe, especially Poles, who constitute the largest group since EU enlargement in 2004.

Construction market climate in Poland

In June 2010 the general market climate indicator for the construction industry increased relative to May by 0.6 points, to 2.0 points. It was higher relative to June 2009 (by 10 points) but lower relative to the analogous month of the previous three years. The assessments of the current order portfolio, construction and assembly output as well as the financial situations of the construction companies have improved in June, as compared to the previous month. Forecasts pertaining to order portfolio and construction output are less upbeat than those of May 2010. Predictions with regard to the financial situations of the firms remain unchanged and optimistic.
